  • Water plumbing includes water supply (clean water), a water heater, sinks, shower & tubs, water supply valves, drains, and sewer lines (dirty water).
  • Learn where your main water shut-off valve is in case of a leak. This is generally located at the exterior of the home.      Add Pics
  • Check for moisture, look for water leaks and corrosion at the valves and hoses of the sinks, toilets and water heater, watch for slow drains (signs of clogs).     Add pics
  • Drain Maintenance, add drain cleaner or maintainerto sinks, tub & shower drains and toilets for clearing drains and treating wastewater systems every 1-2 months.
  • Gas plumbing includes gas supply from either a public utility source or a private tank located on the property. Gas is used to power some appliances such as water heater, range/stove, clothes dryer, or HVAC.
  • You should know how to identify and know how to shut off the supply valves in case of an emergency. Gas has a distinctive smell and is usually only noticeable when there is a leak. If you suspect a leak, exit the home and call 911 and/or the gas utility service.
